Making Shakespeare: The First Folio, Season 51, Episode 7 of Great Performances celebrates the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s First Folio.

As Director of Photography on production in NYC and Washington DC, I filmed numerous interviews, original Shakespeare First Folios, location setting scenes and live performances. A highlight was filming Emmy Award-winning actor Brian Cox and wife and fellow actor Nicole Ansari going through a collection of folios at the Henry Folger Library. Live performances filmed were from the Public Theater, and included their bilingual musical version of “Comedy of Errors,” middle school students performing, “Romeo and Juliet,” and behind the scenes of Kenny Leon’s Shakespeare in the Park production of “Hamlet.”
