Director of Photography
In the shadow of her famous brother, Felix Mendelssohn, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel's brilliance as a composer was nearly lost to history. Despite composing over 450 works, only a few have been published or performed—until now. The feature documentary Fanny: The Other Mendelssohn brings Fanny's extraordinary story to life. Directed by her great-great-great-granddaughter, BAFTA-winning filmmaker Sheila Hayman, the film shines a light on her incredible legacy.
I contributed to this project as the director of photography, filming Fanny Mendelssohn’s long-lost manuscript at The Morgan Library & Museum and pianist Sarah Rothenberg in Manhattan.
